May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life’s passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!
— Irish Blessing
Happy Birthday to the Best. Son. Ever. — Love you with all my heart!!
And to the moon and back…I bet! Happy Birthday Domer—and Happy Birth Day to you!
You bet correctly!! His birthday is always a happy reminder of his Birth Day, Kb!!
And happy birthday from way down Texas way! Hope the day is a good one, for both of you.
Thanks, Linda. Domer is a native Texan, you know, so he’ll be thrilled to accept your Lone Star good wishes!
I remember this blessing. I had totally forgot! Thank You
Where’ve ya been, Jasmine? I’ve missed seeing you around these parts — glad I struck a good note!!
I fell off the planet for a bit! So nice to see you too!
Let me know your new address when you get one so I can stop by!
Happy Birthday to a fellow Domer. All the best.
You fellow Domers always stick together, John — thanks for your good thoughts! Hard to believe he’s, um, twenty-something now. As my late dad used to say, I don’t mind getting old…I mind seeing my children get old, ha!
I know. I have a forty-six year old.
No you don’t. You’re not old enough!!
Yes I am. My wife says I witnessed the birth of dirt.
She has a great sense of humor!
She is 14 years younger than me so she loves to tease me about my senior position in life and yes she does have a great sense of humor.
Lovely blessing! Happy Birthday to Domer! 🙂
On Domer’s behalf, I’ll just say Thank You, FF. He, of course, doesn’t read my blog (or so he claims!!)
Debbie, what a beautiful birthday post to your son!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DOMER! Wishing you the very, very best!
Cheers!
Have a super Sunday, my friend! X
Thanks so much, Ron. I wish he could be golfing on his b-day, but at least he’s getting together with friends for the day. I’ll pass along your good wishes.
Happy Sunday to you, my friend. Hope y’all are starting to see some signs of spring!!
Ahh- the best wish a parent can have for their child. Lovely.
Thank you, Barb. As a son, he’s tops (and what parent doesn’t think that of each of their kids?!?)
Every day that our children are on this earth is a blessing and every birthday is so precious to a parent. May the Lord protect your son and bless every step of his life…in Jesus name Amen.
Beautiful prayer, Tanya — thank you so much! We need to cover our kids with prayer every day, don’t you agree?
Aww. Happy Birthday! No doubting he’s blessed to have you, as well.
Thank you for saying that, my soon-to-be-birthday-girl-herself!! Hope your special day is every bit as wonderful as Domer’s was!!
Aww. You remembered! *tears* Thank you ♡
Of course I did — Virgos are like that!
Happy belated birthday to your Domer son! The Irish blessing really says it all, doesn’t it? To have love, laughter and faithful friends in our lives is to be blessed indeed! Go Irish!
PS I can’t believe that we haven’t met before!
Me, too, Mo, but better “late” than never, right?!! Thanks so much for dropping by, and I look forward to becoming blog-buddies. Have you been back on campus lately? My last trip was in Sept. ’15 for the first home football game. Irish forever!
I think he’s probably looking at a worm, you know.
Nah, he’s lining up a putt. Trying to look like the pros, you know! But who knows? There very well might have been a worm on that green somewhere!
Hope Domer had a terrific birthday with a cherry on top and lots of chocolate sauce. It seems he shares a birthday with a certain orphan Maltipoo who goes by the name of Oliver Twist. We had a hoot celebrating his day. 😉
Aw, it was Oliver’s B-day, too?? Well, gee, I hope he got LOTS of cookies, Monica! Dallas loves being “made over” on special occasions!
