Catching a Snooze

Finish each day before you begin the next, and interpose a solid wall of sleep between two. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson, American essayist, abolitionist, and poet

Totally relaxed

Eyes shut, limbs splayed, soft breathing

Finally asleep

  1. Oh Debbie, what a sweet and adorable capture! And I love how Monkey has his paws up! It almost looks as though he and the toy are BOTH doing that!

Thanks for sharing the cuteness, my friend!

    Happy Sunday! X

P.S. Can you believe it was over 64 degrees and sunny yesterday. Yet, this morning I woke up to 30 degrees and SNOW. I can’t tell if it’s Spring or Winter. LOL!

    • Glad you liked this one, Ron. He was sleeping under the desk in the kitchen, and I was afraid he’d hear the camera click and wake up. The toy beside him is his llama (which he’s almost chewed the ears off).

Isn’t this weather crazy?? Wish we had some of those 60-plus degree days. This Deep Freeze is wearing on all of us! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! xx

    • What amazes me, Linda, is that Monkey is the ONLY dog I’ve ever had to snooze on his back. I guess the others always were — consciously or not — in an alert, guard-dog stance. I’ve always heard that it takes a really secure dog to sleep this way. Perhaps Monkey is happy here, after all!

    • Thanks, Virginia. This is his customary sleeping position — belly up — so it wasn’t too hard to snap the shot after I promised my friend John (above) that I would.
