Laissez les bon temps rouler — “Let the good times roll” is the motto for the city of New Orleans
Let’s do this — Happy Mardi Gras, everybody!
P.S. Mama said to tell y’all her concert went beautifully! Even the video portions, which she’d had her doubts about. They were informative and tasteful, and folks seemed thrilled with the performance. It was great learning about the unsung heroes of the space program, such as the African-American women coders who helped put man on the moon, self-taught female programmer Margaret Hamilton (credited with designing software to prevent a last-minute abort of the landing), and a tribute to American and Soviet astronauts who died in the line of duty.
Happy Mardi Gras! Dallas is certainly ready to celebrate! So cute! Congratulations on the concert!
Thank you, Miss Katybeth! Every so often, Mama listens to expert advice (like what you gave her about getting me to pose). When she does, it’s amazing how much smoother the process goes — and how much better the results are!!
Amazing job–she has a lot to work with tho…
HeeHee!!
What a great photo of Dallas, ready to party! How you managed that photo I can’t imagine, it but it’s great fun. I’m glad to hear the concert went well, too. Will there be any videos of it online? I’d love to see a portion of it.
Cookies, Miss Linda. That’s the key. Miss Katybeth (above) told Mama never to try getting me to pose pretty without offering a reward for my effort. Worked pretty good, huh? No, I’m sorry to say the concert doesn’t appear to be online . . . anywhere. Mama has spent a lot of time looking for it, but nothing to date. If anything turns up, she’ll let you know!
Thanks so much. Enjoy your cookies!
Will do!!
Hey. Dallas toss me some beads. Glad Mama’s concert went so well. We were rooting for her.
Mr. John, I’m surprised you don’t have a bucket full of beads (like Mama does!) And doubloons, too. I’ve never been to a Mardi Gras parade, but Mama was in one years ago and had a blast! Thanks for rooting for my mama’s concert — despite the snow and cold, a lot of people showed up.
Excellent.
Happy Mardi Gras, Dallas! And OMG…I LOVE the picture of you, it’s BEYOND priceless! You have got the cutest face ever!
And thanks for updating us on Mama’s concert. Please tell her CONGRATULATIONS! I knew it was going to be a smashing success!
You and Mama have a grrrreat rest of your week!
X
So glad you like my photo, Mr. Ron. Aw, if I could blush, I would!
Mama said her concert was fun once they got started. She was pretty nervous before because we had a lot of snow earlier in the day. Sure wish she could find a link to share it with y’all.
Hope you enjoyed your Fat Tuesday! xx
Oh, Dallas, we don’t often get jealous of dogs, but we totally envy your gorgeous party outfit! And tell your mama we’re glad the concert went off so well!
Love, T&T x
Oh Tommy and Tuppence, I’m thrilled you like my Mardi Gras party attire! Mama thinks I look quite regal draped in all that purple. Who knew purple would be such a good color for me?!? Yes, her concert was great, or so she said. I, of course, didn’t get to go, sadly!!
Glad your concert went well, Debbie – hope that Dallas has recovered from his Mardi Gras partying! 🐾🎊🎶🎊🐾
He had his annual shots this morning and has pretty much been sleeping ever since! That’s one way to do Lent, huh, Virginia?!?
🐾😴🐾🐶🐾😴🐾
Glad the show was a success.
Thanks, Pat!
