It’s your birthday to-day, so why are we waiting?
Without further delay, Let’s start celebrating.

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY, MONKEY! Wishing you many, many, many, many more!
Debbie, he’s got the cutest, most lovable face. And what sweet eyes!
Have a terrific Thursday, my friend! X
Thank you, Ron. His sweet face and soulful eyes keep him from the scoldings he ought to be receiving for his mischievous ways, ha!
He’s a handsome boy! Happy birthday, Monkey!
Thanks, Dawn. My mom used to tell me, “Pretty is as pretty does.” By that yardstick, he’s not so handsome, ha!
Happy Birthday, Monkey! Love that sweet face! 🎂 🎁
Thanks much, Barbara. I thought neutering him would settle him down a bit — no such luck. He’s still a hooligan!
How quickly time passes! I was just thinking about him the other day, hoping for an update — and here it is! Happy Birthday (and congratulations to you both for surviving that first year!)
“Surviving” is right, Linda. If I had a dime for every time I’ve threatened to ship him back to the breeder for re-homing, I’d be wealthy! This has been a LONG year putting up with his puppyhood. Domer says he can see progress, but when you’re down in the weeds like I am, it’s harder to see. Oh, well, eventually we all settle down, don’t we??
What a beautiful boy! Happy birthday, Monkey!
Thanks, Laurie. He’s turning into a pretty good dog … though it’s taking far longer than I’d have hoped!
Our Sheltie Liam was like that. But how I loved that dog buddy.
I have high hopes for this one!
Happy Birthday, Monkey. I hope you get some terrific treats.
Thanks, John. He did pretty well, all things considered.
Handsome boy, happy birthday! May there be many happy returns of the day. 🙂
Thanks very much, Eliza. He didn’t get all the treats he wanted, but what Sheltie ever does?!
Gosh, he’s looking all grown up and handsome! Happy Birthday, Monkey!
Funny how time flies and before you know it, they’ve lot that puppy look! Now, if our rains would stop and the ground dry out, I might be able to get the house clean from the mud he likes to bring in!
Happy Birthday, Monkey! You sure are handsome. And I hope your mom knows that dogs ALWAYS celebrate their birthdays with steak, served rare.
What??? Steak? Rare?? Oh Miss Ann, I Monkey am going to have to have a stern word with my mama. She didn’t serve me steak at all! What’s wrong with the woman?!? Perhaps another home would treat me better?
Monkey is already a year old? Where did this year go? Is he settling into a grownup monkey yet, or is he still in toddlerhood?
Kathy, he’s in that teenager stage, I fear … and I don’t think he’s going to grow out of it any time soon. He’s got buckets of energy and poor impulse control (we’re working on that!) And he gets away with things because he’s just so doggone cute!
