Wordless Wednesday

Dogs have given us their absolute all. We are the center of their universe. We are the focus of their love and faith and trust. They serve us in return for scraps. It is without a doubt the best deal man has ever made. ~Roger Caras, American wildlife photographer and writer

  1. Beautiful post, Debbie! Both the quote and your photograph are perfect together!

And as I’ve shared with you many times before, Dallas has THE cute little face!

    What a love he is!

Thanks for sharing the sweetness today, my friend!
    X to you and Dallas

    • Thank you, Ron. I think Dallas has the sweetest little face, too, but I’m his mommy — nice to hear that others agree with me! Sometimes it’s hard catching him in a real “pose,” as he’d prefer to ignore my camera when it points in his direction! xx

  2. I’m so sorry I haven’t been present in blogosphere. Was planning beautiful trip abroad but few days ago my brother suddenly pass away. It wasn’t the cancer. He was doing well. I’m still in shock. No time to write, I reposted my story of when I first learned he had cancer. Still, my beloved brother is gone.
Dallas looks exquisite in the photo. Treasure him, love him. Time is fleeting.

    • Oh, NO. Monica, I’m so sorry. I didn’t realize your brother was so ill. Yes, I think you’d mentioned it a long time ago, but I suppose I was hoping he’d improved. Y’all were close, and I know you’re hurting right now … especially having to lose him right on the heels of losing Sir Henry. Please accept my deepest condolences and know I’ll be praying for you!
Glad you liked Dallas’s photo. He’s a keeper, and I’m blessed to have him in my life.

  3. Dallas, you are rocking it! Please tell your mom that we love seeing pictures of you, that pictures like today’s cheer us up with your effervescent presence. 🌟🐶🌟

    • Aw, thanks, Miss Virginia! I Dallas love it when people make over me and since today was my day to be groomed, my furs are especially soft and sweet-scented!

    • Thanks, FF. He does look regal like a lion, doesn’t he? And sometimes when he looks a certain way, his eyes (which are tawny anyway) look more cat-like than canine. But he’s all dog — cats don’t beg at the dinner table, do they?!

    • Thank you, Linda. He was watching me hang clothes on the line outside when I captured this pose — too often, he turns away from the camera. Yes, he’d welcome a hug — LOTS of them, in fact!
