Thanks so much, FF. We had the prettiest Easter I can remember — just perfect weather for a change, and I’m still enjoying my chocolate bunny!! Hope yours was lovely, too!
How did the concert go? What did you play?
It went pretty well (though we outdid ourselves at the dress rehearsal, and that never bodes well for an outstanding concert). We were celebrating nontraditional composers, so we did Bethena by Scott Joplin, something by another African-American composer, and one by a Native American composer. Our concert band did four pieces, all by female composers. Right before our concert, our director announced this was his last concert here — he’s taken a job in Texas — so that put a damper on things.
