I am grateful for the silence of winter mornings, for the beauty and wonder of the glint of sunlight in frost melting to dew, for the early-riser’s peaceful solitude that sets a mood of thankfulness, hope, and calm for the dawning day. ~Terri Guillemets, American quotation anthologist and author
I’m taking a few days off to do holiday things with my family, but I’ll be back soon. Love to all, Happy Christmas, and thank you for coming along on this blogging journey with me! I’ll leave you with an Irish Christmas Blessing:
The light of the Christmas star to you,
The warmth of home and hearth to you,
The cheer and good will of friends to you,
The hope of a childlike heart to you,
The joy of a thousand angels to you,
The love of the Son and God’s peace to you.
All the best, Debbie.
Thanks, John — same to you, my friend!
🙂
Merry Christmas to you and yours, Debbie – have a lovely time! 🎅
Thank you, FF. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and yours as well!
Your snowfall is beautiful, and as are your thoughts. A blessed Christmass to you (see what I did there?) and say hello to Domer. Best wishes to you both for 2018. I noticed today the New Year’s snacks are front and center already — by January 2, they’ll have the Valentine Day stuff on the shelves. Resist! Enjoy the present– and the presents!
Thanks so much, Linda. Merry Christmas to you, too! I know what you mean about how they rush the seasons. Why, it won’t surprise me they’ll be showing swimsuits before long — and here, we have *months* more of boots, coats, and mittens, ha!
Merry Christmas from Florida!!!
Are you in Florida? What a wonderfully warm place to be — not at all like the single digits we’re suffering through! Happy Christmas to you and yours, Captain!
It was in the 40’s the past two nights. Everyone is freaking out. It’s comical. I love to visit the cold for about a week!
Forty is COLD down south! Looks like our cold is settling in for the duration.
I’ll be enjoying it from afar.
What a gorgeous photograph of your first snowfall this year. It’s stunning! Beautiful poem too!
Gosh, can you believe that Christmas is only two days away?
Wishing you, Dallas, Domer, and your family a very Merry Christmas!
Cheers and love, my friend!

Thank you, Ron. I’m sure that by now, you, too, have seen your first snow of the season — and you’re probably outside enjoying it immensely!! Merry Christmas to you! Don’t overwork during the holidays, and I’ll catch up with you soon. xx
Nice…
Merry Christmas to you as well!!
