I’m up to my ears in web design projects right now, but I figured if I didn’t get these Spring photos posted, it might be Summer before I come up for a deep breath!
We’ve been fighting our share of wind, rain, and coolish temperatures, but Mother Nature knows it’s time to put on her striking glory. See if you don’t agree:
Not sure but I think this might be a magnolia. Yes, we have them here! This one was in a little park outside of the business district.

I know our Texas springs are beautiful, but to me, this is what spring is “supposed” to look like. So many of those are familiar, and sometimes I miss them — especially the lilacs!
Thanks, Linda. So many years, Spring is an iffy proposition, and this was one of them. Too much rain, not enough warmth and sunshine. Nevertheless, things are certainly green, and the flowering trees put on a real show. Now, if we can get the fields planted and my tomato to grow!!

That white magnolia tree is gorgeous. Also, I love the Pink Dogwood blossoms! I think we have them here too, but I haven’t seen any this year. Such stunning blossoms! Aren’t Redbud trees beautiful? One of the parks I walk through has several of those trees, and when they blossom, the park is filled PINK! Don’t you just love the smell of Hyacinths? Instantly reminds me of Easter during my childhood.

Aw, thank you, Ron! Glad you found them enjoyable. Every part of the world has its own beauty, and I love seeing what’s in my blogging friends’ backyards. Your Spring photos were heavenly — I, too, am transported to my childhood when I catch a whiff of lilacs and hyacinths.
Today I’m thinking of all the people I know whose moms are no longer here (and I’m saying a prayer for them). Despite a few rough patches, I’m glad my mom is still here for me to celebrate with. I hope you enjoy this Mother’s Day and the rest of the week! xx
