It’s been a long, hard year, but things are finally looking up:
Never deprive someone of hope — it may be all they have. ~Author unknown

Those who know me well know how hard it’s been for me since my beloved Sheltie Dallas left for the Rainbow Bridge back in March.
Money will buy you a pretty good dog, but it won’t buy the wag of his tail. ~Henry Wheeler Shaw, American humorist
As those of you who regularly read my posts know, my soul-dog Dallas went to the Rainbow Bridge as March 2020 ushered in the COVID pandemic.
At first, I didn’t want a new pup. Didn’t want to look at puppy pictures, didn’t want to reach out to ask breeders questions.
I was grieving, and I knew I needed time to do that properly.
I talk to him when I’m lonesome like;
and I’m sure he understands.
When he looks at me so attentively,
and gently licks my hands;
then he rubs his nose on my tailored clothes,
but I never say naught thereat.
For the good Lord knows I can buy more clothes,
but never a friend like that. ~W. Dayton Wedgefarth

From my last post, you know that my beloved Sheltie Dallas was escorted to the Rainbow Bridge on Monday afternoon.
What you can’t know is how much I miss him.
You think dogs will not be in heaven? I tell you, they will be there long before any of us. ~Robert Louis Stevenson, Scottish novelist
Good dogs never die
They live in our hearts always
Wish mine was here though.

If a composer could say what he had to say in words he would not bother trying to say it in music. ~Gustav Mahler, Austro-Bohemian Romantic composer and conductor

She hasn’t written about it in a while, but Mama is still playing flute.
In fact, she plays nearly Every. Single. Day.
I really don’t think I need buns of steel. I’d be happy with buns of cinnamon. ~Ellen DeGeneres, American comedian
